Pre-Tour: Munich and the Erl Passion Play
It’s Passion Play season in Europe, and you can be a part of it! The passion Play of Erl in Tyrol (Austria) is the oldest passion play in the German speaking countries. Documents prove that already in 1613 pilgrims on their way to Altötting made a stop in Erl to see a passion play. Again in 2019, 600 out of the 1,450 inhabitants from Erl will be on stage to illustrate the life, death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Of course actors, choir, and orchestra will be live on stage.
Visit the Passion Play in Erl Tyrol on our festival pre-tour to Bavaria! Four days full of excitement before going to Wittenberg:

We meet for welcome dinner after a long day of travel.

A guided tour takes us to the Hradschin Castle, we cross the Charles Bridge (and listen to some of the best Jazz and Dixieland Musicians playing along the streets), and try to understand the astronomic clock at the town hall which dates back to 1410. Shopping possibilities are endless in the afternoon. Dinner will be on a cruise boat on the Vlatava river while we enjoy the illuminated skyline of the “Golden City” of Prague.

The Castle is one of the most-visited castles in the country. During our trip we will pass through several villages, making observation and refreshments stops.
